The Rio Blanco County Woolgrowers Association Scholarship shall be open to any senior graduating from a high school located in Rio Blanco County. This scholarship may be used at either a 4-year college or university, junior-college, or trade school.
- The parent(s) or guardians(s) of the student must be a resident of Rio Blanco County.
- At the discretion of the scholarship committee, preference may be given if parent(s) or guardian's are involved in an agriculturally related field such as ranching, farming, agribusiness, resource management;, agricultural marketing, chemical research, horticulture, etc.
- The applicant must submit a research paper. This paper should address issues in the Sheep Industry and how his / her career plans could be related to this industry.
The amount of the scholarship is $500.
This scholarship will be won at graduation, but the money will be awarded at the beginning of the student's second year in college as long as the student maintains at least a 2.5 GPA during their first college year.
